Day 18: 13th August

Hi all once again, sorry I have been mega busy these last week or so. Brief overview of my week since my last post. I have been to mothers, got my hammock and sleeping bag for camping (win) and spent some quality time with friend.

Moving into today, I worked the afternoon (didn't get up till 12 lol) and then met up with my old pal Mike, went to Cult for a beer and pool, then back to mine and I was cooked up sushi, stake and pork belly! Wicked day. Looking forward to a day chilling tomorrow and then an evening with Megan at the Cinema :) Bring on the final showing of Transformers!!!

Day 9: 4th August

So a very quick one today. I am still down at mums so there is all the fun of the kids etc. that I wont go into, however today I had a picnic down on Frinton Greensward with the family, made wooden tent pegs with my Granddad and went shopping with Mummy dearest.

I don't have much time on the computer today so I will have to leave it at that but hopefully another good day ahead tomorrow :D

Day 8: 3rd August

Hey There

So today was a good day. First of all I was picked up by my friend Tasha and her son Justin to take me home for a BBQ on the beach! On the way back we met up with our other friend Becky and then grabbed food and caught up. Got to the beach about twelve and chilled in the sun for a time and continued to catch up (its been a while). At around four thirty we sparked up the BBQ and proceeded to smoke out every other person on the beach either making them feel sick or hungry, either way they mostly cleared out so we could eat in piece :D The BBQ itself was left mostly to me (it is the man's job after all) and we ended up eating sooooo much!!! It was awesome.

During the day we were also visited by my mum and little siblings as well as my Granddad, Cousins Lisa and Steven, my Aunt Julie and their two dogs! Soooo cute! anyway after all the fun and other bits and bobs we did in the evening I decided to camp in my mums garden in the tent the kids had put up to sleep in (they lasted just shy of 30 mins before getting scared and heading in doors lol)

That was my day, and I cant actually think of anything negative about it. :)

Some Helpful Advice

Day 8 and the first day of week 2 doing this blog. I have a little confession to make, I have been keeping a juxtaposed journal to this blog of happiness which contains all my concerns and day to day worries. I suffer from acute anxiety attacks and have done for a very long time, the journal helps control these and the reason I'm sharing this with you all is because it really does help and I feel anybody who suffers anything ever remotely like this then this information could really help! OK so psychologically the way it works is that your brain is hard-wired to remember bad things, its how we learn "don't touch that, it burnt last time", "don't jump from this hight you will brake something", "Stop cooking ants with a lighter and aerosol because it will blow your face off" etc.
When you worry about something you think the worst, things keep running through your head on a continuous loop eventually snowballing out of control. You try to push these thoughts to the back of your mind but in doing so your subconscious pushes back twice as hard thinking its trying to protect you. If you write these down however something triggers in the brain (not sure what) but it's like your brain knows that the information has been stored somewhere and it allows it to pass, not to mention the victimless rant you just had at a piece of paper.

This simple 5 minuet exercise has stopped so many worries, I could see myself spiralling out of control again and simply by putting pen to paper it stopped it dead like a runaway wheelchair to the side of a bus.

Hope this helps someone out there :)

Day 7: 2nd August

Hi All! OK so today was a vast improvement on yesterday! I met up with an old friend of mine who I met back at the beginning of the year (school year). We hung out all day through untill around 1am the next morning watching films and TV. I managed to introduce yet another sole to the amazing Archer! These guys should be giving me a cut seriously lol.
We had Domino's which I know is kind of a bad thing for me but it was still lovely and t proved to me that my eating habits have changed so much that I can only handle about 2 medium slices without feeliong full where as in the past I could easily eat a whole large!!!

Anywho I am off to my home town Walton on the Naze tomorrow for a much needed get away. BBQ with old school friends Tasha and Becky and then at mums until I can be bothered to go home :)

See you all tomorrow :D x

Day 6: 1st August

Not much to report today, spent the evening with Rachel but not exactly a happy evening. I did however managed to make a huge dent in my cleaning and packing so thats always a good thing :)

Day 4/5 30th - 31st July

Amazing 2 days! First of all spent most of day 4 with Mike and Spud just hanging out having a laugh, went for a late night road trip, watched sunshine and chopper :) and then on day 5 I was invited to Mikes for the first time to meet his lovely dogs, one of which is half cyborg and the other in a cruel twist of fate is allergic to cats! anyway we played some games, Sonic Generations, Splinter Cell etc and then after all that I went home for a well deserved sleep in my bed :D

Day 3: 29th July

Ok so very slow day today but on the up, I have made a huge dent in gutting my room ready for moving in with my friends in September, I have also managed to start drinking a lot more water (to be fair though any water is a lot more water for me) and I have also moved the rest of my TV stuff into the living room :) Temperature is getting tonnes better in here now to not to mention that I haven't smoked in 2 days now! May not seem like much but for me it big so ner =P

That's all today, told you it would be a quiet one but here's looking forward for tomorrow :)

Day 2: 28th July

Hi again :)

OK so today I arranged to meet up with a few old school friends back home for a BBQ this Sunday. Tasha and her son Justin and our friend Becky. I haven't seen Becky in over a year and Tasha I only got in contact with a few months back after a few years of no hearing from her so whoop whoop to old friendships :P Also seeing even more old school friends reunion style at the cinema in a few weeks too so that should be good :D

I also helped out Spudington to get his assignment underway. Only 6 more models to go dude, keep it up!

And to top off the whole thing my GF finally text me so I know she is back from London safe and sound. Seems like a silly thing to worry about but it really was hurting my calm not knowing if she was OK or not, so that was a major worry off my mind.

That's all for today and don't expect too much to happen tomorrow as I am planning on cleaning and eating and sleeping lol.

TTFN xx

Day 1: 27th July

Day 1
27/07/2014

Hey All!

Ok so right on into it. Today was a slow relaxed day. The temperature dropped in my flat a little which, as anybody who has ever visited me in summer knows, is an absolute godsend! I have finally gotten round to watching Sword Art Online which is amazing. To anybody who doesn't know what this is, its an Anime show (only about 25 episodes long at present) and is based around the concept of a MMORPG game which is all in virtual reality. The game disables your ability to move, see, hear etc. and instead transfers those signals into the game to move your avatar. The first episode shows the creator of the game trapping everybody inside the game and changing the game so that if you die in game, you die in real life (IRL). I love the way the show plays on its MMO style with things like messaging, inventories, skill stats and parties/guilds, it's a nice change of pace and a brilliant story. 20 mins of the day left and I am on episode 20 :S I should really get out more lol.

On top of that I found time to meet up with my dear friend Megan Blackwell. sat chatting for an hour downstairs and talking with her always cheers me up and provides me with much food for thought.

Actually finding the blog helping after just an hour of opening it. I'm looking forward to tomorrow when I meet up at the labs in uni for helping a friend out with assignments and playing games :) See you all then :)

Forward: 26th July

Ok so after seeing alot of these X days of happiness things on Facebook I have decided to make this blog. I dont really know how all theirs work but to hell with it. Between now and when I start up my next blog assignment with uni I am going to post here every day (when possible) saying at least one thing good that happened in the day. I will start here with yesterday as part of this forward :)

26/07/2014

Today I went down to London with my good friend Tom (Spud) Hill to attend Hyper Japan, a celebration of all things Japan. The day was amazing and I got to eat and drink things I have never tried before. I have also decided to learn to cook some of the things on offer down there including these lovely little pancake style things. Ill post up my successes on here for all to see :) I also got a lot of inspiration for 2015 Drakonfest LARP in which I am going as a wandering Ronin. I will be learning all things traditional to Japan including the Bushido code and I will endeavor to live my life by in when in character (and out of character if it applies).

Then to round off the day my good friend Mike Maggs came over for a chit chat and we sat up and watched all manor of funny things on YouTube and had takeaway chicken burger and chips. All in all, a very good day!
